Yantian Port handled a total of 8.259 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) between January and July, up by 9.6% year on year, data from Shenzhen Customs showed.

On Friday, six 400-meter-long mega ships called at Yantian Port for loading and unloading containers, showing Yantian Port’s strength as one of the world’s largest ports. 

Between January and July, Yantian Port added a total of 14 new routes. It now operates more than 100 routes covering major ports in America, Europe and Southeast Asia.
