Every Chinese New Year, Cantonese people buy flowers and plants to bring back home happiness and auspiciousness. On Jan. 15, the highly anticipated Spring Festival flower fair in Yantian District officially opened, where shoppers can buy not only flowers but also Chinese New Year decorations. The flower fairs will be open through Jan. 21.

Different varieties of flowers are available at the flower fair.

Located in the south zone of the Central Park and covering an area of 13,000 square meters, the flower fair features 74 stalls, where visitors can find not only popular CNY flowers such as phalaenopsis, anthurium, cymbidium, peony and narcissus, but also decorations and bonsai orange trees.
