On March 9, the Youth Chinese Culture Academy of Yantian Districtwas officially inaugurated at the Yantian District Youth Activity Center, with the aim of enhancing extensive exchanges and communication between young people in Yantian and Hong Kong.

At the inauguration ceremony, Gu Yunhong pointed out in his remarks that the academy will organize tailored and practical activities that can involve more people from the public in order to serve the youths and society at large and become a first-class after-school education base.

"As a young Hong Kong student in the new era, I have not only learned about the charm of Chinese culture, but also better understand that Chinese culture is also a treasure of our Hong Kong culture," said Hong Kong youth representative Zeng Zihao. Zeng believes that the establishment of the academy will not only enhance Hong Kong people’s understanding and recognition of the quality of traditional Chinese culture and inspire Hong Kong people’s sense of belonging to their motherland, but will also gather Hong Kong and Shenzhen youths together to contribute to the Chinese dream. He hopes that more Hong Kong youths will return to the mainland and contribute to the construction of the Greater Bay Area.
