Yantian expedites low-altitude economy industry

The Shenzhen Low-altitude Economy Industry Association convened its inaugural meeting in Yantian District on April 12 to provide updates on the organization’s preparatory efforts.

The establishment of the association marks a pivotal stage of “organizational, cooperative, and standardized” development in Shenzhen’s low-altitude field. The association plays a critical role in promoting industry self-regulation by establishing industry benchmarks, facilitating standardization, and unleashing the potential for the industry, while serving as an essential resource for government decision-making to help safeguard and support Shenzhen’s low-altitude economy.

Zhao Qi, the newly elected president, expressed the association’s commitment to implementing government policies concerning the low-altitude economy industry. The association plans to capitalize on Shenzhen citizens’ access to unmanned aerial vehicle test zones to drive innovation and growth in the industry. With a focus on integrating industrial resources, promoting complementarity, and forming the overall advantage in industrial chain competition, the association hopes to boost innovative development in the low-altitude economyconcept .

“The concept of the low-altitude economy is an unlimited blue ocean, presenting promising prospects and opportunities for the advancement of new emerging industries,” Zeng Jianpeng, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yantian District Committee and executive deputy head of Yantian District stated in the meeting.

Yantian District will further explore the potential of low-altitude economy concepts by harnessing the expertise and resources of industry leaders and cultivating effective ecosystems. The goal is to expedite the formation of a mature low-altitude economic industrial chain that propels the district’s status as a leader in innovation and development.

It’s reported that the first group of founding members of the Low-altitude Economy Industry Association consists of 42 leading companies, including the International Digital Economy Academy (IDEA), Heli-Eastern, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, DJI, Tencent, SF Express, Meituan and China Southern Airlines. These members cover a wide range of industries from low-altitude passenger transportation and cargo transportation to technology, infrastructure, investment, and finance.
