In order to meet the established targets, the constructors focused on safety and green technologies, governance and technology innovation practices, set up two track laying bases and two plank bases for the whole line, and simultaneously opened up nine worksites during the peak construction period.
The second phase of Metro Line 8 connects to the current end of Line 8 at Yantian Road Station, and extends east to Xiaomeisha, with a total length of about 8 km. The whole line is laid underground, and includes four stations and four intervals, all in Yantian District.
The four new stations on the line are Beishandao Station, Yantian Food Street Station, Dameisha Station and Xiaomeisha Station.
