Arrivals to Shenzhen who have been to cities that have recently reported COVID-19 cases should report to their communities as soon as possible, Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warned yesterday.

People who have traveled to Nanjing, capital of East China’s Jiangsu Province, after July 10, and those with travel trajectories related to reported positive COVID-19 cases in several other cities in the past 14 days are required to report to their communities, said the CDC.

Those cities are Mianyang, Luzhou and Chengdu in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province; Shenyang and Dalian in Northeast China’s Liaoning Province; Zhongshan and Zhuhai in Guangdong Province; Suqian and Yangzhou in East China’s Jiangsu Province; Ma’anshan and Wuhu in East China’s Anhui Province; and Changde in Central China’s Hunan Province.

Those who took flights CZ3382 and CZ6322 on Sunday should also voluntarily report to their communities, according to the city’s health authority.

The city of Zhangjiajie and Xiangxi Prefecture in Hunan announced the travel history of three asymptomatic COVID-19 carriers traveling from Dalian on Tuesday. They are reported to have traveled in Zhangjiajie, a famous tourist city, for a week.

During the stay, they were among more than 2,000 spectators who watched a show from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 22 at the Charming Xiangxi theater in Zhangjiajie.

According to their travel history, the three cases passed through Nanjing on July 17 and stayed in Lukou International Airport for around two hours in transit to Zhangjiajie.

The CDC reminds citizens who have traveled to Zhang- jiajie between July 17 and Friday and Fenghuang County of Xiangxi Prefecture on Friday and Saturday, or whose travel trajectories are related to the three asymptomatic COVID-19 cases, should report to their communities in a timely manner.

They are also required to comply with epidemic prevention and control measures such as nucleic acid testing, medical observation or health monitoring.

The COVID-19 infection cluster in Nanjing has spilled over to 13 cities in five provinces as of 8 a.m. yesterday, with 46 areas having been listed as medium- and high-risk for COVID-19, according to the national health authority.

Nanjing has reported more than 100 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases since a few airport workers tested positive earlier last week. The city’s new COVID-19 cases have been identified as the highly transmissible Delta variant.
