COVID-19 vaccine shots offered to Hong Kong, Macao children

The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital (HKU-SZH) announced yesterday that it will begin offering COVID-19 vaccine shots to children aged 3 to 11 from the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions starting today.

The hospital is one of the designated COVID-19 vaccination sites for Hong Kong and Macao students in Shenzhen.

The vaccine is the inactivated COVID-19 vaccines developed by Sinopharm, which authorities have already approved for use in this age group.

The COVID vaccination for children from Taiwan as well as foreigners aged 3-11 is yet to be launched, the hospital said.

Reservations for the vaccine shots opened at 5:30 p.m. yesterday. Eligible residents can make an appointment through the WeChat account “健康深圳” (jkshenzhen).
