Parks closed amid COVID control

Fairy Lake Botanical Garden in Luohu District will remain closed starting today until further notice, in accordance with the city’s COVID-19 prevention and control efforts, Shenzhen Municipal Urban Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau announced yesterday.

Due to the current COVID-19 resurgence, Dameisha coastal park and Zhongying Street in Yantian District were closed yesterday until further notice.

In Longgang District, the Shenzhen Universiade Center, the Red Cube, Longgang Sports Center and Longgang Library all announced that they would close temporarily beginning yesterday.

Longgang has suspended a number of performances, sporting events and recreational activities, as well as reduced gatherings such as meetings.

In another development, some cities inside and outside Guangdong Province have also suspended road passenger transport routes to various coach stations in Shenzhen.

All coach stations in Shenzhen were closed until further notice.

Ferries from Shekou to Macao’s Outer Harbor and Taipa ferry terminals, Zhongshan port and Zhuhai’s Hengqin (Chimelong), as well as bay area sightseeing routes were suspended yesterday until further notice.

Starting Saturday, all personnel entering Shenzhen’s airport terminals and airport ferry terminal must have negative nucleic acid test results issued within 48 hours, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport said.
