Yantian International Container Terminals (YICT) will increase the reservation quotas for containers slots from 12,000 to 13,000 slots a day between today and Saturday. The move is to accommodate export peak prior to the May Day holiday, YICT said in a notice yesterday.

To improve the transport efficiency and avoid possible congestion on roads outside the port area, container trailers will be arranged to enter the port area at six time slots as per their reservations. Drivers can make reservations for ETB-4 (estimate time for berthing in four days) between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. every day and ETB-7 after 10 a.m. every day.
