On Dec. 30, 2022, Deng Feibo, deputy secretary of the CPC Yantian District Committee and head of Yantian District, presided over the 2022 Enlarged Meeting of the 27th Party Group of Yantian District Government. The purpose of the meeting was to convey and study the spirit of the recent important speeches given by General Secretary Xi Jinping as well as the gist of relevant provincial and municipal meetings, and study and deploy government’s work ahead.

The meeting stressed the need to study and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventh Municipal Party Committee, and to seek opportunities to develop Yantian’s economy. According to the meeting, Yantian will speed up the construction of the core area of the global maritime city center and the Shatoujiao Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Tourism Consumption Cooperation Zone to sustain efforts in building Yantian into a “consumption center” and a “logistics center.” Yantian will vigorously improve the level of tourism consumption planning and operation, and will lose no time in cultivating and introducing a number of world-class operators and market players to make overall planning of the district’s tourism resources and realize integrated development, in a bid to turn Yantian into a world-class tourism consumption destination. Yantian will make every effort to promote the settlement of quality projects such as attracting international shipping giants, accelerate the building of the world’s most competitive model port, and further consolidate and enhance the status of Yantian Port as an international shipping hub.
