An eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft completes its maiden test flight in Yantian District recently. The test, conducted at a bus depot in Dameisha, laid the foundation for the routine operation of unmanned passenger-carrying flying vehicles in the district. The aircraft, EH216-S, has been granted an airworthiness certificate by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, making it the world’s first eVTOL to receive such certification. The maiden flight was launched Saturday.
