Yantian’s tourism resources complement its living culture. The district’s 30-kilometer coastline offers scenic beaches such as Dameisha and Xiaomeisha, known for their wide, soft sands and clear waters—which are typically 30–50 meters wide and 1,000–3,000 meters long, making them popular seaside destinations.
Dominating the inland landscape, Wutong Mountain offers rugged peaks, streams and diverse birdlife. The district’s mix of beaches, islands, sea cliffs and reefs forms a striking “mountain–sea–city–port” panorama that Chinese National Geography has recognized as one of China’s eight most beautiful coastlines.
Key attractions include OCT East (featuring Tea Stream Valley, Cloud Sea Valley and more), Wutong Mountain National Forest Park, the Banshan Park belt, Zhongying Street, the coastal boardwalk, Dameisha Seaside Park, Xiaomeisha Aquarium and Xiaomeisha Resort.
Yantian’s tourism sector registered strong recovery in 2024, receiving 5.4872 million visitors for the year, a 45.4% increase from the previous year. Of these, 1.3524 million visits were to paid attractions and 4.1348 million to free sites, with visits to free sites increasing by 71.1%.
