On Feb. 21, Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, inspected epidemic prevention and control, as well as resumption of work and production in Dapeng New District. 2. 200,000 free masks are offered every two days by reservation and drawing lots. Starting from Feb. 22, Shenzhen Headquarters for COVID-19 Prevention and Control will offer 200,000 free disposable face masks every two days to Shenzhen residents by reservation and drawing lots. Residents can submit their personal information in the reservation system by clicking on “Combating epidemic”(抗击疫情) - “Mask reservation”(口罩预约) on the WeChat Official Account “i Shenzhen”(i深圳). 3. No newly confirmed case has been reported in Shenzhen for 3 consecutive days, whereas CDC experts note it’s not time to relax yet. First, the epidemic prevention and control across the country is still faced with severe challenges. Second, people returning to Shenzhen in large numbers will add to the risks of prevention and control as enterprises in the city resume work and production. In addition, early spring usually sees high incidence of respiratory diseases. Therefore, it’s also necessary to perform prevention and control of other seasonal respiratory diseases. 4. Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau facilitates to meet enterprises’ demands for workforce, with the pick-up shuttle buses being arranged for orderly return. Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau has further enhanced inter-provincial cooperation, built “point-to-point” targeted connection service mechanism, and strengthened efforts to ensure organized import of manpower, in order to meet enterprises’ labor demands. Special arrangements have been made to pick up the employees returning to Shenzhen for work, so that employees are able to return to enterprises the first moment of arriving in Shenzhen, thus reducing the risk of cross-infection on their own way of returning to enterprises. 5. Shenzhen releases the notice for scientific and orderly work resumption of construction projects. Shenzhen Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau has released the Notice to Promote the Scientific and Orderly Work Resumption of Construction Projects. The notice requires to accelerate orderly resumption of construction projects, and to ensure the epidemic prevention and control as well as sustainable and safe production. It urges enterprises to comprehensively assume their responsibility and the government to shoulder its regulatory responsibility. According to the notice, efforts should be made to coordinate supply of goods for epidemic prevention and control, improve “remote” examination and approval mechanism, and establish enterprise reward and punishment mechanism in the epidemic prevention and control. 6. Shenzhen Airlines resumes nearly 600 flights. Shenzhen Airlines takes swift actions in response to the nation’s call to facilitate work resumption. To date, the Airline has resumed nearly 600 flights from Feb. 22, linking Guangzhou, Shenzhen and southwestern and eastern cities such as Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Mianyang, Yibin and Nanchang.
