Yantian launches one-stop service for graduates, offering housing and job support

From: Shenzhen Daily | Updated:2025-04-04

As graduates step into the workforce, securing housing is often one of their biggest hurdles. However, in Yantian District, a new initiative is making the transition smoother for job-seeking graduates.

Zhang Ying, a recent graduate from Guangdong University of Education, is one of the first beneficiaries of the district's innovative support system. On March 24, she applied through an online platform for a spot at the Yantian District Talent Service Station. Her application was quickly approved, and the following day, she moved into the service station, located at 77 Haishan Road, becoming the first university student to check in.

Reflecting on her experience, Zhang said, “From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly supportive. They helped me check in to the Talent Service Station and even took the time to show me around the neighborhood, making me feel right at home.” The Talent Service Station is fully equipped with essential amenities such as bathrooms, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and furnishings and appliances. It is conveniently located, with both bus and subway stations within walking distance.

To further support graduates like Zhang, the Yantian District Human Resources Bureau has introduced a range of services. These include up to 15 days of free accommodation, giving graduates a worry-free environment to focus on their job search. A representative from the bureau explained, “While our district may be small, we are committed to providing meticulous services. By focusing on quality, we hope to attract more talent to Yantian.”

The Talent Service Station is just the first step in Yantian’s broader efforts to assist graduates with employment. The district also plans to introduce graduates to local companies, creating a seamless service chain from job search to free accommodation and settling in Yantian.
