The flower festival was inaugurated online Saturday due to the COVID measures and will last until April 13. People who are interested in the blossom are encouraged to watch the view through livestream videos via Douyin on “梧桐山风景区” account.
Rhododendron moulmainense, or Westland’s rhododendron, is a flowering evergreen shrub native to South China and Southeast Asia. In Shenzhen, its flowering period is from March to April and its fruiting period is from May to June.
