The Dameisha boardwalk is the most celebrated section of the Yantian Coastal Boardwalk, a scenic seaside path that hugs the rocky coastline and offers close-up views of the ocean. It is free, open all day, and easily reached by Metro.

The Dameisha section is roughly 1 kilometer long, stretching from the Yantian Port East area in the west to Dameisha Seaside Park in the east. It forms part of the much larger 19.5-kilometer Yantian Coastal Boardwalk, which runs from Zhongying Street in the west all the way to Beizaijiao in the east. The boardwalk is built along the mountain and sea, with suspended bridges, viewing platforms, and stone arch bridges along the way.
The main draw is the raw coastal scenery: you can watch waves crashing against eroded rocks and look out over the open sea. There are several themed viewing platforms along the route. The Yuehai and Tinghai platforms also house smart reading rooms, blending scenic views with a quiet place to read. At night, LED light-controlled lamps along the Dameisha and Xiaomeisha sections automatically illuminate the path.
Late afternoon is the ideal time to visit. The light softens after 4 p.m., and you can catch the sunset over the sea.
Take Metro Line 2/8 to Dameisha Station, Exit A, which puts you right by the core section of the boardwalk.
