Location

The first batch of construction areas of the Haishan International Block stretches to Mamiao Street and Donghe Road to the east, Haijing Road to the south, Shanhai Road to the West and Shenyan Road to the North. The area covers an area of 0.36 square kilometers and includes the entire Pengwan Community.

Features

The area identified as the One Mall business circle is at the center of Yantian District’s CBD and has two phases with a total floor area of 137,000 square meters. It has an excellent geographic location as it is close to Wutong Mountain and Dapeng Bay. Featuring the fusion of costal cultural tourism and commercial operation, the circle, under the jurisdiction of the Haishan Subdistrict, has attracted foreigners from 24 countries to live in the subdistrict. Surrounding Yantian Central Park, the One Mall complex houses various restaurants, beverage stores, entertainment facilities and educational institutions for kids. On weekdays, its customer flow is 10,000 people per day on average; on weekends, 20,000-30,000 per day. Tourists who come to visit Yantian and Luohu Districts also patrionize the mall because of its convenient transportation. It is connected to Shenzhen Metro’s Line 8 and more than 30 bus routes connect there. It takes tourists only 20 minutes to reach Huangbeiling, Liantang, Luohu Gymnasium, and Dameisha and Xiaomeisha Beaches from the One Mall complex.

The Haishan Foreigner Service Center provides a variety of handouts and pamphlets with information for foreigners, such as the “Handbook of Public Signs in English in Public Places in Yantian District,” “Common Service in China,” “Service Guide for Foreigners’ Work Permits Working in China,” “Visa Application and Passport Renewal,” “Temporary Residence Registration for Foreigners” and “Yantian Life” among others.

Better services

Governmental services for international talents have been optimized. Windows for foreign affairs are open to foreigners in the district’s public service hall. Foreigners can also search service information and policies through the website “Yantian District Government Online,” the mini-program “i盐田” and the app “盐田民意通.” In order to improve the foreign language translation services in international blocks, foreign language talent pools have been set up at the subdistrict and community levels.
