Yantian District is China's first "National Tourism Service Standardization Demonstration Zone," and a "National Tourism Demonstration Zone."

Dubbed a "Natural Oxygen Bar," Yantian is the country's first district-level SUC (sustainable urban and community guidelines) demonstration zone.

It is home to popular attractions such as the historic Zhongying Street and Dameisha and Xiaomeisha beaches. A series of cultural tourism activities and top-tier sporting events run throughout the year, including the Windsurfing World Cup, the Shenzhen 100 Trail Race, and the Mountain-Sea Symbiosis Art Season, offering a constant stream of wonderful and exciting experiences.

In 2025, Yantian received over 23 million tourist visits throughout the year.
