Yantian International Container Terminals (YICT) is one of the world's largest single-operator container terminals, located in Yantian. Established in 1993 as a joint venture between Hutchison Ports and Shenzhen Port Group, it was China's first large-scale infrastructure project operated under foreign majority control. The terminal operates 20 deep-water container berths with alongside depths of 14.2 to 17.6 meters, covering a terminal area of 417 hectares.

The terminal benefits from a unique 18-meter-deep natural channel in the Greater Bay Area, enabling round-the-clock two-way navigation for the world's largest container vessels. YICT handles approximately one-third of Guangdong Province's foreign trade container traffic and one-quarter of China's container trade with the United States. In 2025, the terminal achieved a record annual throughput of over 16.1 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%.
YICT offers over 100 weekly shipping services connecting to destinations worldwide, including an average of 10 daily sailings to Europe and North America. The terminal provides extensive intermodal solutions through 33 rail-sea services, 17 feeder services, and 20 inland ports, extending its service network into the Greater Bay Area, Southwest, and Central China. As the last port of call in South China, YICT enables faster transit times, such as 11 days to Australia and 12.5 days to the U.S. West Coast.
In recognition of its operational excellence and sustainability efforts, YICT has received numerous industry awards. In 2026, it was named Best Global Container Terminal at the AFLAS Awards, marking its first-ever win of the global title, and also received the Best Sustainable Container Terminal award. Previously, YICT won the Best Container Terminal in Asia (over 4 million TEUs) category three times, in 2018, 2023, and 2025. The terminal is a member of Hutchison Ports' global network and operates under Hutchison Port Holdings Trust, a container port business trust listed in Singapore.
