Vanke is one of China's leading real estate developers and urban and living services providers. Founded in 1984, the company has grown over more than four decades into a Fortune Global 500 enterprise, first entering the list in 2016 and ranking 206th by 2024. The company is listed on both the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (stock code 000002) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Vanke operates under the philosophy of "good houses, good services, good communities," positioning itself as a provider of urban and living services. In 2017, Shenzhen Metro Group became the company's largest shareholder, supporting Vanke's mixed-ownership structure, its strategy as a urban-rural construction and living services provider, and its "rail + property" development model. Shenzhen Metro Group currently holds approximately 27.18% of Vanke's shares, making it the largest shareholder.
Beyond its core residential development business, Vanke has expanded into logistics and warehousing, rental housing, commercial development and operations, standard offices and industrial parks, and hotels and resorts. Its property services subsidiary, Onewo, is a leading provider of comprehensive space services in China. Vanke's rental housing brand, Boyu, is the largest in China's centralized long-term rental apartment sector, managing over 270,000 units, with more than 130,000 units included in affordable rental housing programs. Its logistics arm, VX Logistics, ranks among the top tier in cold-chain logistics in terms of scale and occupancy rate.
