1. To be responsible for supervision and inspection of the departments and affiliated organizations of Yantian District in implementing the Party's line, principles, policies, and resolutions, in complying with China’s laws and regulations.

2. To be responsible for supervision and inspection of the Party and administrative leadership and its members in upholding the Party's political disciplines, implementing democratic centralism, selecting and appointing senior officials, developing a responsibility system for improving the Party’s work style, and in building a clean and honest government.

3. To carry out, upon approval, initial verification of violation of Party and administrative disciplinary rules by the Party and administrative leadership and its members; to participate in the investigation of violation of Party and administrative disciplinary rules by the Party and administrative leadership and its members; and to investigate violation of Party and administrative disciplinary rules by officials at important cases.

4. To assist the Party and administrative leadership in the district in coordinating efforts and its affiliated organizations to build a sound work style of the Party, to develop a clean and honest government, and to combat corruption.

5. To be responsible for receiving charges against the Party leadership, Party members, and other members under administrative supervision, and to be responsible for handling appeals from Party members and other members under administrative supervision against sanctions they receive.
