1. To handle letters, calls and visits to the Yantian District Committee of the CPC and other leaders；

2. To report the important comments, suggestions and problems that are expressed in letters and calls to Yantian District Committee of the CPC; to comprehensively analyze the information in letters and calls; to carry out investigations and research; to make suggestions for formulating and revising relevant policies, laws and regulations；

3. To supervise and investigate the implementation of instructions given out by officials; to create an inspection system on letters and calls and organize its implementation; to accept tasks assigned by Yantian District leadership concerning letters and visits; to supervise and investigate the handling of important letters and visits；

5. To create and implement a system to investigate and resolve problems; to establish and improve a system for the collection and analysis of information concerning letters and visits; to offer guidance concerning a system for information related to letters and visits；

6. To publicize and release information about matters related to letters and visits; to coordinate international cooperation and exchanges concerning matters related to letters and visits.
