Shenzhen Grand Parade
During the much-anticipated Shenzhen Grand Parade on May 1, the 1.5-kilometer Festival Avenue in central Futian District will transform into a vibrant ribbon that connects Shenzhen’s iconic landmarks. This year’s event will showcase a stunning debut of cutting-edge robots, a national-level drone show, fashion shows, diverse performances, and demonstrations of intangible cultural heritage.

Ethereal Sakura Land
The Ethereal Sakura Land at MixC Shenzhen Buji is an immersive cherry blossom-themed art installation spanning 1,000 square meters. The artificial cherry blossom garden features seven enchanting photo spots, including a giant pink hot-air balloon and a cherry blossom avenue, creating a romantic atmosphere.
Timed cherry blossom petal rains, along with suspended cloud installations integrating mirror and light effects, creates a visually striking and interactive spectacle. Visitors can also indulge in cherry blossom-flavored ice creams, limited-edition beverages and pretzels available at three pop-up stores in the mall.

2025 SZ Coffee Festival
The 2025 Shenzhen Coffee Festival features 185 coffee brands. Participants are invited to explore coffee’s sustainable journey and discover endless possibilities of sustainable living through speciality brews.

‘Sky Pasture’
Set within a 10,000-square-meter open-air plaza, the “Sky Pasture” combines trendy elements such as camping, skateboarding and music to craft a free-spirited social space. It features a starry night market and outdoor concerts, offering visitors an experience that harmonizes city life with nature.

Dapeng Fortress
Dapeng Fortress in Dapeng New Area will transform into a heaven of food and cultural creations during the May Day holiday. Dapeng’s most authentic delicacies are available at the local market while intangible cultural heritage inheritors will be invited to showcase their skills. The historic walled village dated back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) is worth exploration for history enthusiasts.

Rose Coast
Known as a wedding-culture theme park in eastern Shenzhen, the Rose Coast in Dapeng New Area will host the Summer Welcome Festival. The event promises a memorable experience of various ceremonies welcoming the beginning of summer, folk customs, and traditional crafts, set by the sea with gentle breezes.

Shenzhen Comics Festival
Comics enthusiasts in Shenzhen should not miss the upcoming Shenzhen Comics Festival. The event will gather many famous and emerging cartoonists and cartoon studios to sign autographs for their fans.

New malls opening
K11 ECOAST (open on April 28)
Shaped like a giant cruise ship, the 228,500-square-meter commercial complex combines luxury retail, art and nature in the heart of Taizi Bay in Nanshan District. Inspired by Hong Kong’s K11 MUSEA, the massive harbor-front project will introduce “Art Mall,” a multi-purpose art space, the K11 ATELIER office building, and a landscaped waterfront promenade.

iN City Plaza (open on April 29)
The newly renovated iN City Plaza in Futian District features approximately 100 retail, food and beverage brands to provide one-stop shopping and dining services. Its north square, spanning 30,000 square meters, boasts basketball courts, a soccer pitch, a skateboarding venue and a tennis court.

Yitian Holiday Plaza in Luohu District (open on April 30)
The new shopping mall offers residents a new option for spending the May Day holiday. Covering a footprint of over 120,000 square meters, the massive commercial project consists of a shopping center, a 13,000-square-meter outdoor activity area and an 8,000-square-meter art hall, creating a diversified and immersive shopping experience. Currently, about 40% of the shops in the mall are first-store businesses.
