A roundtable discussion was held a day earlier, during which Lyu Hongrong, founder of the Jupiter Museum of Art, Xiao Ge, editor of Phoenix Art, contemporary artist Shen Shaomin, and Shenzhen Art Week director Zi Jing shared their insights on promoting culture and the arts in an urban environment.

Jiang Hao, manager of Biosphere 3, a model sustainable community, said the festival, held across the 3.2-square-kilometer Dameisha Community, drew large crowds to the area.

Works by Xu Bing, Olafur Eliasson, and Han Meilin were displayed, and five concerts were offered to the public free of charge or at affordable prices.
