Yantian Port shines again on CCTV

On July 14, Yantian Port once again drew national attention with two prime-time features on CCTV.

That morning, CCTV-13 broadcast a live special report titled “Explore Shenzhen Yantian Port: China’s Foreign Trade Acceleration,” highlighting impressive data that positions Yantian Port as a vital engine driving China’s resilient foreign trade growth.

Later that evening, CCTV-1 reported a 2.9% year-on-year increase in China’s goods import and export for the first half of the year. The segment showcased footage of Yantian Port’s fully occupied berths, simultaneous operations of 20 mega vessels, and bonded LNG refueling facilities—exemplifying the strong and steady momentum of China’s foreign trade.

In the first six months, Yantian Port’s container throughput surpassed 7.58 million TEUs, marking a 12.7% year-on-year increase. Nearly 300 “super large vessels” have called at the port since the start of the year, with an average daily throughput exceeding 40,000 TEUs bound for global markets.

With the addition of 11 new routes so far this year, the port now supports nearly 100 weekly sailings—including four daily departures to Europe and six to the United States—creating a robust and efficient “express lane” for foreign trade enterprises to connect with global markets.
