Yantian International Container Terminals recently announced significant progress in the first phase of the Yantian Port East Operation Area project.

Three automated container berths designed for 200,000-ton vessels are expected to be fully completed by the end of 2025, paving the way for operations to begin by the end of 2026.

The east operation area is designed to handle an annual throughput capacity of 3 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), supporting the next generation of larger global container vessels.

Equipped with cutting-edge automation technology, the port will boast the country’s largest automated twin-trolley quay cranes.

Yantian International Container Terminals also plans to build bridges connecting the East Operation Area with the central and west areas.

This integration will facilitate unified management and resource sharing, and deliver highly efficient intelligent terminal services across all three operational areas.
