As the 2023 National College Entrance Exams, or gaokao, approach, related departments in Yantian District have strengthened their cooperation in preparation work and examinee services. They aim to create a sound environment for a total of 2,059 students who will sit the gaokao in Yantian District and ensure that the exams are conducted in an orderly manner.

On June 6th, one day before the exams, a passage was set aside for gaokao candidates at Yantian Senior High School, and many senior students attempted to pass smart security check equipment as part of a simulation of the exams.

The relevant person in charge of the examination office of the test site said, “A total of 1,220 students will be taking the exams at Yantian Senior High School. In case of heavy rainfall, the school has prepared an emergency passage for candidates to protect them from the rain,'" he added. During the gaokao period, professional medical workers and psychological counselors will be present on site to deal with emergencies.

There will be two test sites in Yantian District this year: Shenzhen Foreign Language School and Yantian Senior High School. Shenzhen Foreign Language School will have 839 senior students taking exams in 34 classrooms, while Yantian Senior High School will accommodate 1,220 examinees in 42 rooms.

As of June 6th, all the necessary hardware and software facilities for the examination sites, such as the online monitoring system, online communication and command system, facial recognition system, and 5G anti-cheating signal system, have been put in place. Additionally, support departments are also ready to ensure the smooth running of the exams.
