On August 5, CCTV-2 featured two insightful reports—”Robot Competitions heat up in Shenzhen, Guangdong” and “Summer Public Science Classes fuel youth engagement”—highlighting Yantian District as a prime example of the rapid growth in robotics education and hands-on technology learning among young people.

Since early 2024, robotics technology has increasingly been woven into everyday life, and in Shenzhen, this trend has translated into immersive, hands-on experiences that young learners can actively engage with.

During the summer break, Yantian’s VAMOS Future Science Museum has seen a surge in popularity, where children interact closely with robot dogs and intelligent machines, gaining firsthand exposure to cutting-edge tech by assembling balance bikes and programming code.

One enthusiastic student proudly showcased his self-assembled remote-controlled car, expressing the joy of “making the robot move by myself.” Yang Kungang, head of operations at VAMOS Future Science Museum, shared that their AI-themed courses are so popular that they fill up within just a few days of launch.

To enhance learning quality, the museum has introduced a suite of advanced equipment, including Unitree robots and Tiangong Ultra humanoid robots, further enriching youth engagement with frontier technologies.
