Yantian International Academic and Scientific Exchange Center was officially inaugurated on Aug. 25 at the BGI Time-Space Center. As the first international exchange hub in Yantian District, the center will focus on industrial development, international exchange, and academic and scientific research, providing diversified platforms to attract global talent, gather international resources, and promote open cooperation.

The launch follows Yantian’s recently released action plan to accelerate the district’s internationalization. The plan addresses five key dimensions—internationalizing the district’s image, industry development, cooperation and exchange, public services, and living environment—and seeks to improve institutional arrangements while upgrading both soft and hard infrastructure to build a globally influential urban district.

In the future, the center will undertake functions such as international engagement, conferences and events, academic and research exchanges, and resource connectivity across professional fields. It will continue to attract global talent and resources, providing strong support for advancing opening-up and cooperation.
