The large-scale sci-fi spectacle “Star Ocean Era” premiered on a stunning aquatic stage in Dameisha on Feb. 1.
Set in a cyberpunk-inspired world, the production blends drone performances and immersive special effects to follow the adventures of detective Meisha and her robot assistant Pengbao as they courageously protect the ocean’s ecosystem.

The stage itself is an engineering marvel, featuring an innovative suspended modular design that includes the country’s first opening-and-closing water stage, complemented by a 15-meter automatic lifting platform. Cutting-edge projection mapping and a dynamic fountain array further enhance the visual experience.
The show is hosted at the newly opened Meisha Cultural and Creative Industrial Park in Yantian District, a multi-zone destination set against a serene lakeside landscape. The park offers a variety of attractions, from live performances and trendy retail to hands-on cultural experiences such as craft workshops.

Collaborations with leading domestic music platform Kugou Music and renowned entertainment brands like Mahua FunAge add to the park’s diverse entertainment offerings.
In recent years, Yantian has revitalized the Meisha Lake area with a series of cultural tourism projects and the introduction of both international and homegrown brands.
“This is envisioned as an open, inclusive, and vibrant hub — not only drawing visitors from across China and around the world but also becoming a favorite leisure destination for Shenzhen residents,” said Lu Nan, a representative of Yantian Urban Construction Investment Group.

To cater to culinary enthusiasts, the park features Michelin-starred restaurants and popular trendy eateries. Accommodation options include several marine-themed hotels and boutique homestays.
