A 90-meter-long bridge opened to the public before the Chinese New Year holiday in Yantian District, connecting Dameisha Beach with Meisha Lake.

Featuring white wave-shaped railings, the bridge serves both as a convenient transportation link and a new local landmark.

Standing on the bridge, visitors can take in views of the blue sea and golden sand on one side, and European-style lakeside villas on the other. At night, the bridge comes alive with shifting, colorful lights.

Once across the bridge, visitors are greeted by the vibrant ACG culture displays and trendy toys around Meisha Lake. Strolling through the area, visitors will find plenty of Instagram-worthy spots perfect for hanging out, snapping photos, and shopping — all in one go.

The islet at the lake's center holds just as many surprises. After the removal of unused facilities and the upgrade of pedestrian pathways, the space now features vibrant, dopamine-colored buildings, waterside seating, and massive oil-painting-style murals.

It feels like a romantic coastal village where every step offers a new view. Whether you're a family with kids or a couple on a date, there's something for everyone: families can relax by the water while children play; Gen Zers can head straight to Songcai Road for anime-themed goods; couples can enjoy a nighttime sci-fi show; and foodies can dine at lakeside restaurants.

The entire Meisha Lake area, linked by a bridge connecting the sea and the lake and centered on a 3.5-kilometer lakeside scenic belt, has been carefully zoned into five distinctive industrial parks: ACG merchandise, sports, cultural performances, digital technology, and cultural and creative arts.

A highlight of the visit is the large-scale sci-fi spectacle “Star Ocean Era,” which premiered on a stunning aquatic stage on Feb. 1.
